Meet Our Audiologist

Kurt Wright, Au.D., Doctor of Audiology

Kurt Wright, Au.D.

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Kurt Wright’s journey into the field of audiology is deeply personal and profoundly meaningful. His commitment to helping individuals hear better is not merely a profession; it’s a calling that stems from a heartfelt connection to the challenges of those with hearing loss.

As a teenager, Dr. Wright experienced the transformative power of hearing aids when his mother experienced significant hearing loss. The frustration and hardships this brought to his family fueled his determination to make a difference. Witnessing the positive impact of those hearing instruments on his mother’s life and their family dynamic, he felt compelled to dedicate his career to helping others in a similar manner.

With over three decades of experience in the audiology field, Dr. Wright’s expertise is both extensive and diverse. Prior to establishing his own hearing clinic in Charlotte, North Carolina, he served as a regional director for a prominent hearing aid manufacturer. His commitment to advancing hearing healthcare has remained unwavering.

Now, alongside his wife, Deb, Dr. Wright has relocated to Sebring, Florida, where they’ve founded Abide Audiology. Dr. Wright’s leadership at the clinic is defined by a resolute dedication to staying current with the latest advancements in audiological technology and ensuring that each patient receives the highest level of care.

Dr. Wright earned his Doctor of Audiology Degree (Au.D.) from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, and holds a master’s degree in Audiology from Kent State University. He also received his bachelor’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, Illinois. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and recognition as a Fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA).

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr Wright and his wife, Deb, have been married for over 36 years and have 2 adult children and precious grandchildren. When he is not in the office helping people hear better, he enjoys walks, bike rides and road trips with his Deb. He especially looks forward to road trips to see the grandkids.
